Daniel Mendez
Founder, Managing Partner
Daniel leads sourcing, deal execution, investor relations, and portfolio management. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Javy Coffee.
Prior to founding Suma, Daniel was CEO of Daysmith Coffee, a functional coffee brand. Daniel started his career at ESPN, before joining AB-InBev, where he held several roles throughout their commercial and innovation functions.

Partner
Piero supports sourcing and deal execution. Piero is also Managing Director at Panorama Research and Corsalex.
Prior to his current roles, Piero co-founded Empire Biotechnologies and served as Co-Chair to Life Science Angel.

Jonathan Berg
Partner
Jonathan supports sourcing, strategic partnerships, and international expansion. Jonathan also serves as CEO of DANEC, a palm oil supplier and CPG company in LATAM. He also runs Empaqplast and is a Managing Partner at Boylston Group.
Prior to his current roles, Jonathan was a co-founder of Terrafertile (acquired by Nestle). -
Ramon Mateos
Partner
Ramon supports sourcing, strategic partnerships, and international expansion. Ramon also serves as CEO of Caexport, a cacao producer and supplier in a LATAM. He is also a Managing Partner at Boylston Group.
Prior to his current roles, Ramon was co-founder of Terrafertile (acquired by Nestle) and an executive at Corporacion Favorita, a retail grocery chain in LATAM.
